Duties and Functions of the Union Council
The Local Government (Union Parishad) Ordinance, sections 6, 8, 12 and 9 of the Act have mentioned the functions of the Union Council. The functions of the Union Council are mainly divided into five parts. Municipal functions

The local government (union council) ordinance, section 4 of 5, refers to municipal work. Municipal functions are divided into compulsory and optional functions.
